중국의 시진핑 주석은 1일 방문 중인 북한 노동당 대표단을 만났다.
이날 대표단을 이끌고 온 리수용 노동당 중앙위 부위원장은 시 주석에게 북한 지도자 김정은의 메시지를 구도로 전달했다.
김정은 노동당 위원장은 구두 메시지에서 "북한은 중국과의 전통적인 양자 친선 관계를 강화하고 발전시키며, 한반도와 동북아의 평화와 안정을 유지하는 데 중국과 협력하고자 원한다"는 뜻을 표명했다.
리 부위원장은 이어 5월 초 개최된 북한 노동당 제7차 당대회에 대해 브리핑했다. 당시 당대회에서 김정은은 당 위원장에 취임했다.
중국 공산당 총서기를 겸하고 있는 시 주석은 "대표단의 방문은 주요 사안에서 이뤄져온 양국 공산당 간의 전략적 소통의 전통을 입증한다"면서 대표단을 환영했다.
시 주석은 이어 "북한 대표단의 방중은 김정은 위원장과 조선노동당 중앙위원회가 양국 공산당 및 양국 간의 관계에 부여한 중요성을 증명한다"고 말했다.
시 주석은 북한 인민들이 경제, 생활 수준 및 사회주의를 고양하려는 노력에서 커다란 성공을 거두기를 기원한다고 말했다.
"중국은 북한과의 우호적인 협력 관계를 매우 중요하게 여기고 있다"고 강조한 시 주석은 "중국은 양국의 유대 관계를 적절히 유지, 강화 및 발전시키는 데 북한과 기꺼이 협력하고자 한다"고 덧붙였다.
"한반도 문제에 관한 중국의 입장은 일관되어 있고 분명하다"고 강조한 시 주석은 "당사국들은 역내의 평화와 안정을 지키기 위해 평정을 유하고 자제력을 발휘하며 상호 연락과 대화를 제고해야 할 것"이라고 촉구했다.
리수용 대표단장은 노동당 중앙위 정치국 멤버로 중앙위 부위원장이며 노동당 국제부장이다.
중국의 양제츠 외교 담당 국무위원이 이날 면담에 배석했다.
BEIJING, June 1 (Xinhua) -- President Xi Jinping met with a visiting delegation of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Wednesday.
Ri Su Yong, head of the delegation, delivered an oral message from top DPRK leader Kim Jong Un to Xi.
In his message, Kim expressed that the DPRK hopes to work with China to strengthen and develop the bilateral traditional friendship, and maintain peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia.
Ri also gave a briefing on the seventh WPK congress, which was held in early May, during which Kim was elected chairman of the WPK.
Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, welcomed the delegation, saying the visit was evidence of the tradition of strategic communication between the two parties on major issues.
The visit also demonstrated that Chairman Kim and the WPK Central Committee attach importance to relations between the two parties and two countries, according to Xi.
Xi wished the people of the DPRK greater success in endeavors related to the economy, standard of living and socialism.
China highly values the friendly cooperative relations with the DPRK, Xi stressed, adding that the nation is willing to work with the DPRK to properly maintain, consolidate and develop bilateral ties.
China's stance on the issue of the Korean Peninsula is consistent and clear, Xi said, calling on relevant sides to stay calm, exercise restraint, and enhance communication and dialogue to safeguard regional peace and stability.
Ri is a member of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee,vice chairman of the WPK Central Committee and director of the party's International Department.
